We don’t just rate the restaurant.
We rate every plate.
PlateRanks goes past a single rating. Every dish gets its own score for taste, portion, presentation and how memorable it was, so you know the short rib is worth the drive and the salad isn’t worth the fork before you order.
Braised short rib
Seminole Heights
You rate braises and slow-cooked beef high. This one lands right in your lane.
Built to answer the question you actually have
You’re standing in front of a menu. Nothing on it is labeled. Here’s what PlateRanks puts in your hand.
Every dish scored on its own
Diners rate each dish on taste, portion, plating and how memorable it was, plus whether they'd order it again. Next to the restaurant's overall rating, you see exactly which plates earn it, and one bad dessert never hides a great entree.
A match built from your history
The more plates you rate, the better it reads your palate. You get a personal match on each dish, not a crowd average that ignores what you like.
Taste you can follow
In the PlateRanks app, follow the people whose picks keep landing. Their plates show up in your feed, so a recommendation comes from someone you chose, not a stranger.
How it works
Four steps, and the fourth one is what makes the first one better next time.
Find a place
Search nearby, or browse picks built around what you've rated well before.
See the plates
Open the menu and the dishes come pre-sorted, with the ones worth your money on top.
Rate what you ate
A few taps after the meal. Taste, portion, plating, and would you get it again.
Get sharper picks
Your rating sharpens the dish's score for everyone and tightens your own matches.
Why the scores hold up
A rating system is only worth as much as the things it refuses to do.
What the kitchen serves now counts most
A dish’s score is what diners actually gave it, and the newest reviews count the most. A dish that got better last month shows it, and you always see how many people rated it.
Restaurants can’t delete a review
An owner can claim their page and reply. They can’t edit or remove what somebody actually experienced, and emptying a menu doesn’t erase the ratings on it.
Money never buys rank
Anything sponsored is labeled as sponsored, every time. Paid placement can buy reach here. It doesn’t buy a better score.
You decide what’s public
Everyone sees your username. Restaurants you review see your full name. You choose whether friends see it and whether others can find you by it.
Find out which plates are carrying you
Your overall rating tells you how you’re doing. Your dish scores tell you why: the pasta is the reason people come back, and the dessert is the reason they skip it. Claim your restaurant and you’ll see both.
- Every dish ranked, with the trend on each one
- Take over your menu, and keep your dishes and photos current
- Reply to reviews, and on a paid plan, reach a guest privately when a night goes wrong
